What is the best way to cure pink eye?

I have to cure my pink eye in 2 days for football camp, what should I do? Also it seems that I'm getting it in the second eye how do I prevent it? What are the best ways and most effective ways to treat it. I already went to the eye doctor she gave me a "treatment" it didn't work, I need results.

What is the best way to cure pink eye?
use Similsan Pink Eye drops it is for prevention and cure!

but it will take 4-5 days to clear up!
Reply:use 1 tsp of salt in 10 tsp warm water wash eyes every hour pink eye will be gone in 24 hours
Reply:It depends on what type of conjunctivitis you have. There are many different kinds with EKC or Epidemic Keratoconjunctivitis (viral) being the most contageous. You can try to prevent the spreading by trying not to touch your eyes and vigorous handwashing if you do touch them. Sometimes it takes a week or more for a medication to be fully effective, however you should see an improvement within a few days depending on how severe the infection is. Your best bet is to see an Ophthalmologist who can diagnose the type of conjunctivitis you have and give you the appropriate medication for it. You did mention that you already went to an eye doctor, but you might want a second opinion. I'm sorry that I couldn't give you a miracle cure, but I don't know of any! Hope you get better soon!
Reply:the best cure is to let it play out. doctor treatments dont really work, but it will clear up in a few days. and dont rub one eye and touch the other
Reply:Dr. Schulze's "Eyebright" formula worked for me. I warn you it's not for the faint of heart because it contains cayenne pepper...I know it sounds stupid to put it in your eye but it's really not that bad. And it worked for me.
Reply:eye drops.
Reply:Wet cold rag as often as you can, take your eye doctors treatment, keep it .... um, put drops in your eyes, theres a gel type eye drop that really helps. And, it has to clear up on its own. Dont touch your eyes if you can help it, wash your hands A LOT.

You probably got it in the other eye from touching it. Its highly contagious.

I am so sorry for you, its no fun. I had it last year.
Reply:Stop wearing rose colored glasses!
Reply:Give the medication time to work, and remember to put it in both eyes. Your eyes will still feel like somethings in them, and may still run. You shouldn't be contagious after 48 hours. If you don't feel better after a few days, get some different medicine from your doctor.
Reply:You might want to go visit your optometrist. There are different types of conjunctivitis (pink eye) and the treatment given will be according to what type you have. Conjunctivitis is very contagious so remember to wash your sheets and towels..all your personal items and dont share them with anyone. Wash your hands constantly, as we tend to scratch/rub our eyes..and this will spread the conjuncivitis on to the other eye.
Reply:I have been using this remedy for years. Take a small piece of white bread and dip it in milk apply to your eye cover it with a gauze pad tape it on , leave it on overnight . gone it really works
Reply:I used to get pink eye alot and the doctor always gave me drops. They always worked right away. Maybe you need a different kind of treatment. You can't touch your eyes cause you'll spread it from one eye to the other. You better get rid of it or the whole football camp will have it.
