The inside of my cats ears are very pink and bumpy, should i be worried?

I noticed today that my 4 month old kitten has small pink bumps all over the inside of his ears. He has also been scracthing and cleaning himself a lot more than usual. Our apartment gets very dusty, could he be having an allergic reaction to the dust?

And also we changed his litter and he likes to sleep in it!

Could that be a problem?

I would get his little ears checked out. I received an ointment for my dog who had that same problem and it cleared up almost immediately. I know I have a dog, but it couldn't be too far off. Play it on the safe side and talk to your vet. Good luck!
Reply:awwwwwwww! cute. lol anyways...yeah i think you should get his ears checked out just to be sure. and while you're at the vet ask about him sleeping in the litter. ; )
Reply:Check for mites. This is best done by a veterinarian. Medications to kill mites are available.
Reply:he might have ear mites. there little bugs like things that will live in animals ears if there not clean.
Reply:herpes. go to the vet to get tested.
Reply:It's only a cat,baby at that. Relax! ;-)=
Reply:It could be polyps and they are pretty nasty. take your cat to the vet and get treatment before it gets worse. kitties ears will swell closed if not treated and yeast will grow and smell and itch badly
Reply:I have two cats which we have had for the last 8 years since they were kittens. That does not sound normal and think you should go to the vet.
