Is there an over the counter medicine for cats with pink eye?

Today i noticed that my cat could not open his eye and around the outside it was a salmon pink color. so i looked it up and i think it is pink eye. I was wondering if there is an over the counter medicine for my cat's pink eye so that i won't have to spend a lot of money at the vets. Please let me know and thank you for your help.

The vet should diagnose this, it may not be what you think. There are several things that cats can get with their eyes. You do need to treat for the right problem, so taking the cat in for a checkup would be best.
Reply:No, there isn't. If you suspect conjuctivitis you need to take kitty to the vet.
Reply:A trip to the vet won't cost that much money - under 50 dollars, and it is well worth the money to keep your cat healthy.
Reply:U can put neosporin in the eye with a qtip three to four times a day and put a warm(make sure it isnt too hot) washcloth on as well for about 30 seconds before putting the neosporin on
