How do I make my gums pink and healthy?

I brush and rinse with listerine and the cavity protection stuff too! My gums still stay red and kinda bleed. I want them to be very PINK! Does all this lead to flossing?

How do I make my gums pink and healthy?
brush alot
Reply:go to the dentist. if you have tried to make them pink for a long time n it doest work its time for professional help.... aka da dentist
Reply:Yes, flossing is very important. Also, try to massage your gums with your toothbrush a little.
Reply:If your gums bleed when you brush and are red, you have gingivitis, you need to get to a dentist, that can lead to periodontal gum disease and you can lose your teeth. You need to get them cleaned and get an under the gum cleaning. Then they will turn pink again and be healthy. I just had mine done, doesn't hurt a bit. But don't wait, the longer you do, the worse it gets.
Reply:Alternate. One day, brush with baking soda. Next day, brush and gargle with hydrogen peroxide. But don't do both at the same time or it'll hurt big time. And flossing with traditional dental floss is a pain. Easiest way is by those little thingies in the dollar store - you get like 50 of them or so, little plastic things with the floss on them. That way you're not ripping your gums to pieces the way you would if you use floss. I can't control the floss, and hurt myself I don't know how many times. But these little flosser come in fine, medium. Easy to use, work great, and then you toss 'em. Instead of using a whole wad of dental floss, you just use one of these little buggers. Even after a week of the above you will notice a tremendous improvement in your teeth and gums.
Reply:Yes ,you need to floss.Your gums don't resbond well, that means what you are doing is not enough. You may have hardened bacteria under your gums.It is called calculos.Only dentist can clean it.Get an appointmen to have your deep cleaning done.Them floss, brush and rinse after each meal. You'll see nice pinck gums there.
Reply:The brushing and listerine will keep the plaque from forming into tartar. But, the best thing for your gums is flossing every day. Or at least every other day. Removes the food and bacteria.
Reply:Get a cleaning first. It'll help to remove the hardened plaque that's irritating your gums and can't be removed by brushing. Floss everyday. In the beginning, your gums might be sore or may bleed but keep at it. Slide it in and do a "c" shape up to your gum line, curving to your tooth. Don't "pop" it in and out. =)
Reply:What do you mean, "does all this lead to flossing"? You should be flossing daily regardless. If you're not, this will help.

Also, see a dentist and they can clean them better and this will help.
Reply:You need to floss so your gums won't get swollen.
