And if it already happened, is there a way to turn the pink part white again?
How do you keep the red dye in a garment from turning its white parts pink?
Washing in cold water should keep the red from bleeding.
If the white's already pinked, the only way to get it white again would be to isolate it (wax paper, alum. foil, etc)
and bleach just the pink parts. Good luck.
Reply:to keep cocors from transfering try washing only with non-clorine bleach (think clorox 2) if it has bled already try usuin a brush with a tiny amount of bleach.
Reply:if the colors already ran soak the garment in cold water with vinegar then transfer to wash machine and wash with cold water regular detergent a cup of table salt and a cup of vinegar should remove the color that ran and will keep the red color from running again. Just wash alone not with anything else. Good Luck!!
Reply:I have "painted" (with a brush) the white area with SOFT SCRUB with BLEACH.
The thick liquid doesn't run, and only bleaches where I put it. When it turns white, I throw it in a cold wash with a
COLOR CATCHER cloth to the colors wont run again.
Reply:A continious wash in cold water (no detergent)!
Reply:I don't think that you can get the red or pink out of the white now the best way to prevent is to wash in cold waster with some vinegar in the water the vinegar is supposed to keep the color from bleeding.
Reply:wash it in cold water
Reply:nope, cheap dye.
