What color should i paint my walls with a pink sheet & pink pillows?

I was going to paint my room pink so i have a pink sheet and a few pink pillows. Things in my room such as my futon bed and my vanity are black so i was wondering what color to paint my walls. I was thinking pink at first but now my parents are trying to tell me to go with an "accent" color that i can just put the pink with but im not sure. Any ideas?

What color should i paint my walls with a pink sheet %26amp; pink pillows?
So many things go with pink! It depends what your style is. I would go to a home store and get a pink paint chip in the shade closest to your sheets, and hold it against different colors to see what looks good to you.

I personally like pink with ivory for a feminine room, with green for a bright, cheerful space, or with browns for a more trendy look.

Like I said, it depends on your individual style and taste.
Reply:It is important that the color in the different rooms around the house come together logically. Analyze each of the tones; determine which colors, and in what proportions, they complement each other to give the final result.

Here are ten household helpful hints for choosing room colors:

1 Brighten up the darker spaces by painting the walls in pale colors.

2 If you paint a high ceiling a dark color, will make it look lower.

3 A light blue or a gray make a small room seem wider.

4 Use the wall colors to mark off areas according to actives.

5 Red and reddish tones are bold, exciting colors which stimulate movement. They are especially suitable for work areas.

6 Yellows are warm, bright colors, ideal for dark spaces to make us feel cozy.

7 Green is essentially linked to life; it reminds us of nature and is perfect for interiors we want to connect with outside.

8 Blues are fresh, harmonious, and easy to combine. They remind us of vast extensions of sea and sky.

9 To make a room more radiant, you can paint the walls in light colors and introduce dashes of color through the furniture, complements, and ornaments.

10 Neutral colors like beiges and browns combine well with other tones and give the room a natural feel.

Color is clearly the most visible linking factor between separate rooms and is ideal for giving consistency to the decoration scheme of a whole house.
Reply:Picture a Butternut color. Maybe instead of all pink pillows, you could go with a couple pink, and a couple mint green, or light blue.
Reply:Try a seafoam green, or a sage color. It will look so classy, and feminine!
Reply:You could do the pink and then sea sponge over it with white. It will give you a little textured look, just don't put it on to thick, dip the side of the sponge into the paint, dap it on a piece of cardboard until there is barely any there, stamp it all over the wall, once it's on the cardboard you should be able to dap it again without it turning out to thick. if you have a chair rail in your room, I would do the bottom and not the top, leave the top pink.
Reply:I would go with a pastel mint green it will mesh well with the color of the furniture and act as an accent to the pink.
Reply:light green, light purple or any shade of blue would look good.
Reply:I think a light or dark browny beige on the walls would look good.

Black and Pink would be your accent color.

Try the color "light cocoa" or "tortilla" by Martha Stewart.

Take a look at JC Penney.com they have some bedding in the colors you described and see what they put with it.
