I bleached a striped white and hot pink garment, & the white went brownish. Can I make the white bright again?

I recently tried to clean my striped white %26amp; pink pyjama garment. However when I added bleach, the bright white changed to a dull, old-looking brown.

The brown isn't noticeable at first, but the garment is now much less brighter than before. The pink doesn't seem to have been affected very much.

The garment is 80% polyester, and is my favourite set of pyjamas :( . Is there anything I can do to get that ugly brown out and make it white again?

Please help!

why the heck did you use bleach?

you should have used a color safe bleach.

try soaking in oxy clean double dose for an hour.

there is a product for color bleeds that you throw in the washer with your clothes, its like a sheet of paper.

color remover by rit dye takes out bleeds but it might make your jamies worse.

polyester is tricky and it depends on if it already heat set, if you dried them in a dryer before you noticed the brown.
Reply:I figured it had to be polyester. The bleach burned the fabric. I've had that happen, tried numerous things to correct it and have never been successful. Sorry!
Reply:They are pajamas does it really matter what color they are? Nope you can not fix this.
Reply:I really don't think there is a way to refuse bleach damage other than dying the garmet.
Reply:RID
Reply:The garment is ruined.

You might be able to dye the garment with a fabric dye, but it sounds like the bleach burnt the polyester.
