I hear that if you were to release a regular pink farm pig into the wild it would grown thick hooves and tusks and it would get hairy after only a few weeks. Is this true?

Yes, but it would take more than a few weeks.
Depending on the age and sex of the pig when it was released it is hard to say how long it would take.
Reply:even pot belly pigs get tusks...they need to be trimmed from time to time, so in the wild they would grow
