I just got pink eye and stayed home from school and I want to know what is an average time period you should stay hoome from school if you get pink eye.

You need to be on antibiotic drops for 24 hours before you're no longer contagious.
Reply:um go see the doctor he should tell you...you need meds anyway ...probly 2 dayish when u get meds
Reply:Once you get an antibiotic or ointment it needs to be at least 24 hours. So if you go and get that today, you should be fine to go back to school and not be contagious on Wednesday. Each day it should look a little better and not be as irritated, so even if you took an extra day it would probably help. When you go to the doctors he/she can give you a note for your school which says when you can return, and you can ask about the specifics then.
Reply:your disease is an infectious one....it can be easily given to someone else.....you need a proffesional advice.........consult a doctor.....but do not go to school.........you have got a couple days off.......enjoy...!!!!
