It should be almost gone in 2-3 days, depending on the severity. Remember NOT to touch your eyes, and wash your hands often with antibacterial soap. Also, change your pillowcase every night so you don't reinfect yourself. I recommend washing pillowcases in hot water with bleach if white, just hot water if colored. Same thing with towels and washcloths. Throw away all eye makeup and get new, or you could reinfect.
