How do I turn pink strawberry frosting into a light blue?

I really like strawberry frosting on my cupcakes that I bake but I want to make the frosting a light blue. How do I do that? I have blue liquid food coloring, but wont it turn purple since the frosting is already pink?

I think your best bet is to use white frosting with strawberry _flavoring_ and add blue food _colouring_





But I dont think you are going to get pink (red) to turn to blue, they are both primary colours.
Reply:I think u should buy vanilla frosting then take the blue coloring and just mix it together .If you still want the strawberry, then just add the strawberry to the top of the cupcakes. OR just put the vanilla frosting on the cupcakes and add the strawberries to the top and just drizzles the strawberry juices on the top.
Reply:You can buy a white vanilla frosting and then add a clear strawberry flavor mix to it, then add your blue food coloring to change its color.

Reply:You will find it very difficult to get light pink to light blue. Add a few drops of the blue and go for a lilac colour - it will be different and sweet looking.
